Star Net has developed a method to efficiently provide accurate data far more easily than with the traditional methods, allowing the surveyor to operate from the ground, more efficiently and without working at height.
By merging procedures adopted in the traditional geospatial and broadcast/telecommunication sectors, utilising laser scanning technology, Star Net collects millimetre accurate 3D data such as equipment location, identification and orientation, structural details and geo-referenced photography which is then delivered to the client for asset integrity and record management.
The unobtrusive nature of laser scanning allows the surveyor to operate from the ground and from a safe distance without the need for downtime to the client. This service adds further value by allowing the site owner access to an accurate 3D database of information on the asset which can be interrogated from the office for information - e.g. structural assessment, equipment identification, retrofit and space analysis for kit upgrades - in lieu of the need to have trained operatives revisit the site.
This information is then delivered to the client through a bespoke web portal (Star Net isite) which allows the user to quickly gather site/asset information with the ability to manage projects from their desktop maximising productivity and improving project communication.
