Geomatics - Europe's Largest Wind Farm
Airtricity, the renewable development division of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) has appointed Star Net to carry out Topographic Surveys at Clyde wind farm near Abington, Scotland (UK).
The £600 million Clyde wind farm development has consent to build 152 turbines which will be able to power over 200,000 homes (456MW), becoming the largest onshore wind farm in Europe.
Star Net has been servicing both SSE and Airtricity for more than 4 years, and this new project reflects the success in this ongoing collaboration. The capability to cope with such big projects has allowed Star Net to build up a strong corporate image within the Renewables sector securing various other projects throughout the UK.
