Star Net to Laser Scan Process Plant in Ireland
Como Engineers Pty Ltd based in Perth, Australia, have asked Star Net to perform a detailed laser scanning survey of a Lead/Zinc process plant located in South West Ireland. The surveys is part of an impressive reverse engineering project which will see the client disassembling the facility and ship it over to Australia, completely refurbish and re assemble it in the new operational site.
This is one of those projects where the laser scanning technology coupled with high quality photography shows its invaluable power and benefit. The impressive photo results of this survey will provide a millimetre accurate 3D representation of the asset while allowing Como Engineers to identify and measure each piece of equipment and structure.
