New Laser Scanner for Star Net
Star Net has added a new Leica 6100 phase-scanner to its fleet. The instrument finds its best use in confined and complex areas such as Power & Industrial plants and offshore platforms where dense data is required for tight verifications and modelling purposes. The Leica 6100 provides major advantages such as:
- High speed of survey (each scan set up can take up a few minutes).
- High scan density (small object can be modelled accurately).
- High sensitivity (laser returns from dark surfaces, oblique surfaces, and surfaces further from the instrument can be better detected).
- High accuracy (improvements in both distance and angle accuracy have extended the range at which scan data meet project accuracy requirements).
