Hydrographic Survey in Loch Ness
Star Net recently carried out an interesting survey at Invermoriston in the Scottish Highlands. The survey was to enable design of a new jetty to allow the transportation of a large transformer to a nearby sub station. Our client required 600m of the A82 Trunk Road to be surveyed along with 2.5Ha of the loch bed.
Our surveyors utilised a Bluetooth-enabled echosounder in conjunction with our Trimble GPS kit to survey bed levels in real-time.
Fortunately Nessie was nowhere to be seen.
