Star Net exhibits at Dounreay's Innovation and Technology exhibition
Star Net has exhibited at the Innovation and Technology exhibition 2010 held yesterday at the Dounreay site. More than 50 companies took part in the event inside a temporary marquee next to the main entrance.
The event was opened by Tony Wratten, deputy managing director of Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd and has brought many site Engineers and Procurement representative to explore the new available technologies that provide quicker, cheaper, safer ways of doing things.
Star Net's Laser Scanning capabilities and unique asset management tool (isite) can certainly play a critical role in the decommissioning phase providing millimeter accurate as-built surveys. Following a successful job at the PFR, Star Net is eager to continue working with site Engineers to develop a complete representation of the site.
